You can check to see if your hardware works by looking at the osx86 wiki
(google it). You'll need to borrow a mac to create the boot loader, but the
instructions here work pretty well.

Oh dammit I really need to memorise my component list >.>; I guess I'll check this out when I get home (though I think I have the same mobo as the dude in the article).
Okay, my set up will totally work and I do, in fact, have the exact same mobo as the dude from Life Hacker. Worst thing that could happen is my graphics card not working (the wiki didn't test the Asus version of it but, ehhh, I can always buy a new one if worst comes to worse)… and I'll apparently need an ethernet card.
And, no, I have no friends with a mac so, yeah, howabouts I buy a flashdrive off of Amazooon.com and have them ship it to you?
